Go sailing on the quiet waters of the Verney reservoir, or swimming in the turquoise water of the pool at Allemont.

Explore the wild nature reserve in the heart of the Ecrins National Park, in search of the dazzling fauna and flora. Almost 680km of signposted footpaths are to be found in Oisans. From simple strolls to steep climbs, you are bound to find something to suit you! We recommend the famous tour of Oisans for experienced hikers – trail no. 54 on your maps! Finally, admire one of the most beautiful panoramas in the Alps from more than 3,300m high on the Pic Blanc summit.

Summer Glacier Skiing

Besides walking in the forest surrounding the resort, walkers can also explore the Grandes Rousses massif and its exceptional panoramas. Using the gondola lifts in Oz, skiers and non-skiers can access altitudes of 2000m, marked pedestrian trails, altitude restaurants and Nordic skiing tracks. There’s also summer skiing on the glacier in Les 2 Alps in the summer months, which is an hour’s drive away from Les Ecureuils.

Lifts are open to excess the mountain from the end of June to the beginning of September.

Swimming and Skating

L’Alpe d’Huez’s facilities include a swimming pool and an ice rink. Access to these is free with the Visalp ski and Nordic skiing/pedestrian pass, available for sale in Oz.
